(LifeSiteNews) – LifeSiteNews is proud to announce the implementation of a new comment system – one that we developed ourselves!
We launched our new comment system on Sunday, meaning LifeSiteNews is no longer using Disqus. We decided to move on and build a private system for several reasons.
Since LifeSite now has complete control of its comment system, we are protected from potential “cancellation” by a third-party. We don’t need to rely on Disqus in any capacity.
Our new system is also 100% private and secure. We maintain total ownership and sole control of all comments and email addresses in our database. We will be able to keep out spam posts and robots more effectively, as well as rely on our in-house team of comment moderators to make the discussions more relevant and engaging.
How does it work?
If you would like to make a comment with our new system, you will be asked to provide a name and email address along with your comment. Before posting, you will have the option of saving your name and email for the next time you make a comment using the same web browser. You also have the option of adding yourself to LifeSiteNews’ mailing list (from which you may unsubscribe at any time).
We rigorously tested our new system before implementation and will continue to do so. Bugs may crop up here and there, so if you encounter any, rest assured that LifeSite’s tech support team will solve the issue as quickly as possible.
