(LifeSiteNews) — Editor’s note: We are excited share Part Three of our exclusive week-long interview with Alexandria Schumacher, LifeSite’s newest pro-life advocate dedicated to restoring a culture of life. Alexandria is eager to give our readers more details about her childhood as the third oldest of ten and what inspired her as a young woman to join the fight for life, family, freedom, and culture.

Leslie: Alexandria, it has been incredible to get to know you these past two days. Today I’d love to take a deeper dive into what it was like for you growing up in a family of ten kids. What did your day-to-day activities as a family look like?

Alexandria: Growing up in a big family, our regimen consisted of many daily disciplines which have positively influenced my life to this day. From Daily Mass and Holy Hours, assigned chores, scheduled mealtimes, music practice, and holidays filled with rich traditions, our family life was vibrant and filled with the joy of life.

Leslie: It sounds like your parents were truly dedicated to raising you in a pro-life and pro-family environment.

Alexandria: Oh, absolutely. I truly admire my parents for their tireless investment in our education whether it be social, mental, physical, or spiritual. They instilled in me core values that would keep me grounded in my Faith in the upcoming Chapters of my adult life.

Leslie: We love that the pro-life values that your family instilled in you kept you rooted in the Faith. What inspired you to remain firm in these values and decide to actively fight for the pro-life cause?

Alexandria: I came across a very profound quote by Winston Churchill. He said, “Truth is incontrovertible (meaning beyond dispute) … ignorance may deride it, panic may resent it, malice may destroy it, but there it is.” If truth can’t be disputed, why is it under such attack? This key question kept me awake and I slowly realized that this wasn’t any battle – it was a battle of spiritual warfare!

Leslie: And LifeSite is dedicated to fighting this battle. It’s so exciting to hear that your values have aligned with LifeSite’s from the start! We are so impressed with the dedication to the pro-life and pro-family movement that your family life instilled in you.

Alexandria: The mission of LifeSiteNews is very important to me especially as it pertains to the pro-life and pro-family movement. Having Faith is complete trust in something or someone greater than ourselves; Freedom gives us the right to act on that Faith; Truth guides us in living out our Faith and Freedoms; and the Respect for Human Life acts as a protective mantle over every single human life including yours and mine. Each one of these attributes (Faith, Family, Freedom and the Respect for Human Life) go hand in hand with each other.

Leslie: It sounds like you were the perfect person to take on this role at LifeSiteNews! You seem incredibly passionate about handing on these timeless values to future generations.

Alexandria: Oh yes. God willing, when I have children, I want them to grow up in a culture where they have the ability to live out those attributes without persecution or fear.

Tomorrow, we will release Part Four of our week-long series introducing Alexandria. Alexandria tells Leslie about her hopes for working at LifeSite and why she looks forward to serving our generous donors as the newest member of the LifeSite team. You won’t want to miss it!
